The basic coloring course is a complete two-phase program, designed to provide a solid knowledge of colorimetry and fundamental coloring techniques. We start with the essential principles to understand the structure of the hair and the basic concepts of coloring, then move on to a more advanced second step on highlighting techniques and creative applications. This six-day course is ideal for those who want structured and detailed training to gain autonomy and precision in the coloring service.

• Choose and apply basic techniques for coverage, touch-ups, and color changes.

Course Content

First Step (3 Days):

• Hair structure and growth phases: anagen, catagen, telogen, and kenogen
• Introduction to colorimetry: white hair coverage, lightening power of oxidants, repigmentation
• Basic application techniques: touch-up, regrowth, cosmetic and non-oxidative coloring
• Natural and artificial lightening, toning, lightening bases

Second Step (3 Days):

• Traditional contrast and highlighting techniques: mono, diamond, horseshoe
• Creative applications
• Combined techniques and color personalization for a diverse clientele

Required Materials

Participants will need to bring:

• Styling bag with brushes, combs, scissors, thinning shears, and spray bottle
• Hair dryer and basic coloring tools

Work Mannequins

Mannequins are provided by the Carlo Bay Academy for practical exercises during the course.

Duration: 3 + 3 days
With the option to divide the course into two modules (first and second step) of three days each.
